Jay Bothroyd started up front for Queens Park Rangers in Monday nights game live on Sky Sports. The game featured a host of new signings for the West London club following a busy transfer window. Jay played 80 minutes in a very entertaining 0-0 draw at Loftus Road

Weekend Review - 12th September

Jermaine Pennant's Stoke City put in a fantastic display at The Britannia on Saturday as Stoke defeated Jermaine's former club Liverpool 1-0. The result means Stoke's impressive start to the season continues with the Potters currently laying fourth in the Barclay's Premiership.

Watford secured their first league win of the season with an impressive away win against Reading on Saturday. Hornets striker Marvin Sordell went into the game full of confidence following his man of the match display for England U21's midweek. The game ended 2-0 in Watford's favour.

Coventry also secured their first win of the season, with a 2-0 home win over midlands rivals Derby County in the live game on Sky Sports on Saturday evening. Richard Keogh won his side a penalty in the second half which enabled his side to take the lead. They went on to score a second goal to win the much needed three points.

Sordell scores on his full England U21 debut - 6th August

Marvin Sordell was named in Stuart Pearce's starting eleven on Monday night for their clash against Israel at Oakwell Stadium in Barnsley. Marvin marked his debut with a stunning 30 yard strike and a man of the match performance in the 4-1 victory.
